- Lincoln is talking more and more everyday. He tries to copy most of what we say and has a few common words he repeats. He says momma, dadda, my book, uh-oh, ball and vroom to make the car sound. He can sign more and thank you, which are my favorite. We are going to start practicing please and drink.
- Lincoln is still a great sleeper. He will only take one nap some days but he normally takes 2. I will be sad the day he only takes one nap.
- He is still pretty good at eating. He has started to have more of a preferences and it can be hard to get him to eat something he doesn't. He loves carbs of any kind and most all fruits. Vegetables and meats are so-so, it depends on the day and what it is. He loves pizzas, grilled cheese, Goldfish, and Nutri-grain bars. He will say Mmmmm if it is something extra good. We are still staying away from eggs, strawberries and bananas. I am thinking about trying strawberries and bananas soon since he was just sensitive to those and not allergic. Eggs will be tested again at 2.
- Lincoln loves to be outside. Anytime anyone is outside he will join. I am thankful for the warmer weather so we can spend more time outside. He has a few ride on toys in the backyard that he just pushes around.
- Lincoln loves school (and I love his school as well!) He interacts with his friends and his teachers say he is a joy to have in class. They say he is the class clown and has a special reading spot that is only his (he growls when others come near it.) Shane and I refer to him as a bull though his teachers say he is not. He will stand up for himself which I guess is a good thing but he definitely thinks he is bigger than he actually is. I am hoping he stays friendly in class.
- He will wave, hug, and give knuckles to whoever asks.
- Lincoln can have quite the attitude. He has started throwing hissy fits when we tell him no which has resulted in time-outs. I am thinking the terrible twos are setting in already.
- He loves anything with wheels, cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. He has just started playing with balls outside but prefers rolling cars. He is definitely NOT an animal fan. He wants nothing to do with animals or be anywhere near them and I am ok with that! No pets for us!
- Lincoln loves to be around any kids of any age. I can leave him almost anywhere if there is another child around and he is content. School has played the biggest part in this because he loves to be with those kids. He will rough house with a certain boy at school (who is twice his size) and will do anything he does. He loves to be with his cousins. He will follow Eli and Phoebe anywhere and thinks they are hilarous! Isaac isn't in on the action yet but Lincoln is always willing to give him kisses.

Lincoln is much more of a boy than a baby. He is social, funny and has developed quite a personality. More fun facts about Lincoln....
How we spent Spring Break
Wow! A whole week has flown by since my last post and so much happened in that time worth pictures, such as Phoebe's princess party, my birthday celebration and a week of Spring Break. Life is too busy!
Our Spring Break is usually spent with my sister and her kiddos but they decided to go to snow skiing so we missed our cousins this year. I decided to use my time off wisely and have surgery! Sounds relaxing?! I knew I needed to have my bunions removed but it was never a good time so I buckled down and just did it. Let's just say this is what I spent my week doing.....
Yep, I literally spent most of the week on the couch with my foot propped up. The surgery was Friday morning and I was in pain all Saturday and Sunday. Other than those 2 days the pain was tolerable but the boot made it hard to walk. I am not looking forward to going back to work with the boot but I am hoping to get it off Tuesday afternoon. I will have the right foot done sometime early summer then my feet will be prefect!
My week (and Lincoln's) was not a total bust. We had a relaxing week at home which I think we both needed and he got lots of TLC from all his grandparents.
He loved the warmer weather and playing his new playhouse.
Played with his golf clubs....that are now outside toys!
