Lola~ 5 months

This post is a little late but since I have started back to work certain things have taken a backseat. I know everyone says it, but how can she already be 5 months?!!!



 

What has Lola been up this month?

 

- Not sure what Lola weighs but I am sure she has gained at least a pound. Maybe I will weigh her at home and update later but don't hold your breath.

 

- Lola is a pretty good sleeper but not as good as her brother. She has some nights where she wakes up multiple times and has to be put back to sleep. Sometimes it is because she has rolled to the edge and is smashed up against the crib or she has flipped over and can't figure how to fix it. If you can't tell she is a crazy sleeper and is all over her bed. She takes 2 long naps during the day with one little catnap sometime. Lola is still not sleeping well at school but she is getting better.

 

- Lola is taking 4 or 5 bottles a day of 6 oz each. She eats oatmeal in the morning and we started giving her a serving of vegetables in the evening. She has only had sweet potatoes and loves them. She is not a fan of her cereal unless we mix it with a little apple juice. I think she just enjoys being at the table with us.

- Lola is quite the social butterfly. She smiles at almost everyone and is pretty content with anyone as long as they are giving her their undivided attention! Her whole face lights up when she is happy.

-Lola is a talker. She squawks and squeals a lot of the time, especially at church. I guess she thinks everyone is there to listen to her.

-Lola has gorgeous eyes that she got from her daddy. They keep getting lighter and lighter blue so I am thinking they will stay blue. She has chubby cheeks and sturdy legs. People stop me all the time to comment on her eyes or how pretty she is and I agree!

-Lola is wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes and a few 6 month outfits. She wears size 2 diapers.

-Lola is in love with Lincoln. When we ride in Shane's truck the kids sit right next to each other and she laughs and laughs at him. It is so sweet. She laughs the most when she is tired.

Back to School, Back to School

The kids and I started back to school on Monday. They both did fairly well. Lincoln cried but was better after a couple of minutes. The picture I received midday showed him playing and smiling so I know he was having a good time.

Lola had a hard time napping the first day, like only sleeping 45 minutes ALL DAY! As soon as we got home, she slept all evening and night. She was exhausted! The second was better with a short nap and a long nap in the afternoon.



 Lincoln is in the RED room. His room is a little more structured with assigned chairs and I am happy with that. Lincoln loves to be around his friends so I know he will have a great year.

 Lola was moved to another room after her first day. She was originally put in the yellow room but there were too many babies so they moved her down since she was the youngest. So she is in BROWN room this year. I am happy with her teachers and I am anxious to see how her first year goes.

I know I have said this before but going to work everyday is only possible because I know they are both in great hands. This daycare is the best of the best!

Another summer gone

It is crazy how fast summer goes by. We had an easy summer with few trips but lots of time together. I hope to update with what we completed this summer from our to do list but for now I am spending my last evening off cuddling my sweet babies. 

Will going back to work ever be easy?!
