My Amarillo vacation and 30 weeks

I spent part of last week with my mom in Amarillo visiting the two cutest kiddos (and their parents!) We didn't do anything too exciting but our days were filled with entertainment with Phoebe and Eli.
Phoebe got a new "twirly" skirt and it made for a photo session. You can't see her shoes but they are tiny "drill team" boots and she loved them!
I got the privilege of painting Phoebe's tiny toenails...complete with a flower sticker! I think the polish lasted about 3 hours before she started picking at her toes. I don't think I will ever quit my teaching job to be a nail tech!
The Storm Trooper and Princess....he did wear this outfit ALL day on Friday running errands!

Eli caught a baby toad in their backyard....I am not sure the toad will ever be the same again!

And that was a quick view of my "vacation" in Amarillo. The kids came back with my mom and I and are spending the week here so hopefully my next post will have more cute pics!
I am now 30 weeks preggo...Baby "Wincon" (as Phoebe calls him) will be here in 10 weeks or LESS!!!! When I think about it, I start to get a little freaked out so I chose to not think about it! My mom finished his crib bedding and I love it! I couldn't come up with one theme so I decided on a color scheme instead. We used different fabrics with reds, navy, and light blues. His quilt will have some "sock monkey" fabric in it as well so we are using some monkeys in the room.

That is all that is done in his room...nothing on the wall, curtains are still missing, rocker is not bought yet, shelves are not hung, and clothes are not organized! Good thing we still have a few more weeks left, maybe I will get more motivated or start nesting soon!
Well I am enjoying my last 2 1/2 weeks of summer then I will be hurrying around with school! So much to do but I think I will go and take a nap!
Until next time!

29 weeks and not much going on

I have not neglected the blog already, I just have nothing interesting to blog about! Really I am trying to soak up all the summer I can by doing NOTHING....really some days I sit and watch tv all day and I am enjoying it because I know it is my last summer to have that luxury!
But anyways back to our life....I am 29 weeks and my doctor appointment went great today. His heartbeat was normal and all my measurements are right on schedule. I will have another sonogram next week so I will get to see his precious face then! I can't believe that this baby will be here in 10 weeks or LESS!!! (Shane got a little nervous when I mentioned that!)

I am making my last trip out of town before Lincoln gets here. I am going to the exciting city of Amarillo to see these two precious kiddos with my mom! I can't wait and they will be coming back with us!!! Let's hope the traveling goes well and it doesn't wipe me out too much!

While I am in Amarillo, Shane will be in great state of Kansas for one of his best bud's bachelor party. Good luck boys!

Well that is about it....nothing too exciting! Hopefully my life will be more exciting next week after being with Phoebe and Eli!

Until next time.....

Beginning Post (the tester!)

Well I am going to start this whole blogging thing! Not sure how great I will be at it but I figured summer was the time for me to figure it out! I am hoping this blog will be a way to keep all family current in the happenings of our lives. Here is a quick recap of our history!

Met Shane in March 2006 through mutual friends and have been together ever since!

Not a great picture of us but it is one of the only early pics of us!

Shane proposed on April 17, 2008. It was a HUGE shock to me (and probably some of you too!) and I got to planning my wedding while still teaching.

We got married December 6, 2008. It was a beautiful wedding with family and friends and it was what I always wanted for a wedding (and a fun party!) We didn't take an actual honeymoon because we thought we would wait until the summer when we both had more vacation time, BUT.....

In February of 2009 (yes only 2 months after the wedding) we found out we were expecting baby #1! Baby Boy Lincoln is due October 6th and we are happy (very shocked at first!) to meet our little boy!

This is definitely not an early pregnancy pic but I have been terrible at taking belly pics! This was taken this summer (about 23 weeks) in Colorado on our mini honeymoon/ "babymoon" vacation.
Well that is a quick recap of our lives.....crazy! I am hoping to get better at this blog (and get it cuter!) So be sure to check back!
Until next time!
