I didn't remember to take the chalkboard pictures on her actual birthday but these pictures were taken on her actual birthday.
- Sleeping: Lola is still not a great sleeper. She is an ok sleeper but nothing compared to her brother. I do know it could be worse but it's not great. She goes to bed about 7:15 and *sleeps* until 6:30. Most of the time she will sleep all night but we will have a week here and a week there where she wakes up once or multiple times in the night. Sometimes it is because she has an ear infection or she wakes to eat. We have some occasions when she just wakes up to play. We let her cry it out those nights but it is no fun for anyone. Most of the time she wakes up she will eat and go right back to sleep. Those times are getting less and less since she is eating mostly table food but we still battle with it. She takes one to 2 naps a day. On the weekends, we are home she takes 2 long naps. If we are out and about she only takes one long nap. At school, she takes 2 short naps.
- Eating: Oh my heavens, this girl will eat! She is usually the first to the table with a snack so I get dinner done and she usually the last one until we finally take the food away to take a bath. She will eat mostly everything we eat but she is not a meat eater. She might eat a little lunch meat or shredded chicken but no beef yet. She L.O.V.E.S carbs and fruit. Her favorites are mac n cheese, spaghetti, strawberries, donut holes and bananas. She was not fan of her smash cake at her party but loved her left over cupcakes the next day. I think the attention from everyone bothered her. She is quick to befriend anyone who is willing to share their sweets with her.
- Development: Lola is right on track with everything she *should" be doing. (Btw, I hate those milestones they set. Babies are so different.) She has a vocabulary of about 5 words (momma, dada, bubba, puppy, bath). She can follow commands when she wants to. She is self feeding most table foods. Lola started crawling at 6 months and has been going strong since then. She has tried taking a few steps but mostly when she wasn't paying attention. I am sure crawling is faster so that is her mode of transportation. She can cruise the furniture like no one's business. Lola will sign done (hands waving in the air) and we are working on more. If she waves all done and we don't get her out ASAP then she starts throwing food on the floor like "Hello?! I said I was done!"
- Social: Lola is quite the social bug. She will go to almost anyone, especially if they have food to share. Lincoln never would go into the church nursery and Lola goes without an issue. She is B.U.S.Y! She is constantly wiggling, moving or crawling. You have to keep everything out of her reach or she will have it and destroy it. She gets into everything Lincoln has and it drives him crazy. Lola has the sweetest, whole face smile. It is hard to catch on camera but it is oh so sweet. She loves her brother and starts talking about bubba first thing when she wakes up. She is a momma's girl but loves to wrestle with her daddy. She is so fun and almost always in a good mood.
- Stats: Lola is a tall girl! She is 31" in length which is in the 95th percentile!!! Her weight is normal (21 lbs 7 oz) especially for her height. She wears mostly 12 month clothes but some one piece things are 18 months because of length. She still wears size 3 diapers.
I can't believe it has been a year. Crazy to think how it all changed in a year!
