We moved! This was the biggest change of the year and we love our new house.

Shane's brother got married.

June 26, we welcomed a new baby cousin into the family. Welcome Isaac Jolly!

July 4th was spent with good friends.

August

Lincoln started at the district daycare, which we both love his "school".

Lincoln went to his first Red Oak High School football game. He loved watching the drill team girls more than the football game.

Shane and I celebrated our second anniversary with dinner out.

Lincoln must have been a great kid this year with all the gifts he received at Xmas!

Our family was blessed in 2010 and thankful for an easier year after the 2009 we had!

We are anxious to see what 2011 has in store for us!

Our December in Numbers

December has a whirlwind for us and I can't believe Christmas is over. Instead of writing many posts of what we have been up to I thought I show our December in numbers.

4 million...The number of lights we saw at Grand Prairie Lights. Lincoln ooohed and "wowed" through the whole thing.
10...the number of times I had a "helper" with wrapping.

3...the number of Christmas books we read each night.

5....the number of aprons I "made" this year for gifts. I use mad loosely since my mom did a huge part of it because I am learning to sew and one apron took me 2 hours to make and probably only 45 minutes for her. These are the three that were given to Lincoln's teachers and 2 more were given to my SIL and MIL. I'm pretty proud of my early sewing skills.

1....the number of GREAT pics of Shane and I. Really this is hard to come by and it was the first try! This was taken at my good friend's, Keely, rehearsal dinner

4...the number I roomed with this beautiful lady. Keely and I knew NOTHING about each other except that our sisters were friends when we first roomed together sophomore year. She is one of my besties and her wedding was fabulous! Congrats to her and David!

2....the number of cranky boys who were my dates at the wedding. Not sure we can do formal affairs with Lincoln until he is about 10..wait maybe not even then!

28...the number of tiny pieces that came with Lincoln's pirate ship that he received from us. It was super cute in the store until we opened it and saw how pieces there were. Oh well, look at that sweet face!

(Lincoln does own pants but he rarely wears them at home!)

3...the number of Christmas jammies worn this season

(Actually he had 4 but I didn't get a picture of the other ones. They were red with white and green peace signs....super cute!)

24...the high on Thursday in Kansas when we decided to take Lincoln outside. He was not a fan of the cold weather and cried most of the time outside. He was made for Texas weather.

179....the number of family pictures that were taken to get a "good" one. It is hard to get one with Shane and his family because everyone but his mom and I hate taking them. These are the 2 best.

20...the number of consecutive hugs (and kisses) given to Kya. The dog was not has pleased has he was.

Endless...the amount of smiles, giggles, and hugs from this sweet boy. He has really started being sweet by giving anyone hugs and kisses when asked. He was pretty fun this year and I am a little sad to see it go by so fast. Next year he will be a full-blown toddler with a bigger vocabulary and probably more tempers and my baby will be gone.

We still have one more Christmas with my family over New Year's and I can't wait for Lincoln to have some times with his cousins. Pictures to come!

The BIG 2-9!

Shane celebrated his 29th birthday on December 14th. I had every intention of blogging on his actual birthday but life got in the way and I am currently at home with a sick baby so I finally have time.

We celebrated his birthday 3 times but I have few pictures to show. We headed up to McKinney for a pizza lunch with yummy cake at my bro and SIL's house. The only picture I got was one of Lincoln lovin' on Baby Isaac. He really does love on him on his own with no perusading from anyone. I am sure Isaac is thrilled about the open mouth kisses.
That night Shane and I went out with friends for dinner and movie but I have no pictures to show. :(

On his actual birthday, I made dinner and cherry pie. It was a nice, quiet evening at home.

Shane received these glasses and a book from Lincoln and I...doesn't he look thrilled?!

Shane is not happy about the next birthday coming up...the BIG 30!

December 6, 2008 was a wonderful day for me and I loved my wedding. I would go back and do it all the same again if I could. Shane and I have been through a lot these last two years. We have had times of stress and times of joy. I wouldn't want anyone else by my side. Can't wait to see what the future holds for us!
