9-29-12....3 years!

9-29-09
A crazy day we had on 9-29-09! Lincoln came into this world with a bang and he has been rockin' ever since! I didn't know the crazy story his birth day would hold but I am thankful we walked that journey with him.
I miss that sweet baby face (I don't miss the feeding tube though!) But I sure love this silly toddler who lives with us!

6 month comparison

Lincoln and Lola both at 6 months. I see some similarities but I still think they look so differnet at this age. I think she looks more like Lincoln now then him at 6  months.

Lola~ 6 months

Half a year already?! It can't be!

I don't know her stats because we won't have a check up until October 1st. If I don't write them here, then they will never end up in her baby book!

Lola is so much fun right now. She started sitting up by herself recently and seems to enjoy that view most often. I am pretty sure she feels safer now that she can keep an eye on her brother and all his swords and footballs.

Lola is still the happiest baby I have ever met. She is everyone best friend. She gives the biggest, whole face grins that make bad days turn around. She laughs and laughs the most when she is tired and quite ticklish.

Lola loves to be up looking around and in the happenings. She loves her exesaucer in the living room. She will watch Lincoln play for a long time. He is still pretty good with her but I think that will change once she starts moving and getting into his stuff.

Lola had her first ear infection this month. We made to the second week of school which is a new record for us! She was congested so we took her to the doctor to check that. We had no idea that she had an ear infection because she was never cranky.
Lola has started eating more solids. She has tried squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas and most recent applesauce. She is unsure of anything new but after a day of it she loves it! I am shocked at how much she can eat! She still takes 4 bottles of 6 oz a day.
Lola is still a great sleeper (at home). She goes down about 6:30, we wake her at 9:00 for a bottle but she rarely even opens her eyes for it, and she sleeps until 6:30 when we have her up for school. At home she takes a long morning nap and a long afternoon nap. If we are on the go, she will nap in the car but not in the stroller. The girl has too much to see and check out.
Sleeping at school is a different story. Most days she will take 3 short naps only lasting about 30-45 minutes each and that is a good day. She still has some rough days where she only naps a total of 30 minutes all day! Neither of my kids sleep well at school.
Lola still has the bluest eyes and some chubby checks. She has fat thighs but they are slimming down some. She is wearing mostly 6 month clothes and a few 9 month outfits. With the temps still in the 90s some days, she can still squeeze into a few summer outfits that are 3-6 month but they won't last too much longer!
Just to prove that we do have some rough pictures day around here, this picture shows her pouty face. She was woken up from a nap to head out to the Homecoming game and pictures were not on her "to do" list. But her brother wasn't setting a great example. Maybe the next game we can get a better picture!

Confessions...

I have so much I could blog about but I don't have the energy to write about it all. Maybe this weekend it will happen. So for now I will write a meaningless post of confessions lately with a few cute pictures.

1. Lincoln has taken a poptart for breakfast almost every day so far this year. The days he didn't take a poptart it was Donut Friday. Yep, pretty sure that qualifies me for "that mom" award.

2. I am a little sad that the original Teen Mom is over. The first episodes aired when I was pregnant with Lincoln so I was sucked in and I have watched ever since. I am little sad I can't follow Caitlynn and Maci anymore. I am ok with not seeing Farrah or Amber. Those two were pretty much train wrecks from the start.

3. I have grown to love running. I started the C25K this summer and I have made it up to running 3 miles at a time. I need to do a 5k but I really don't want to spend the money to do but I need it. I have set a few running goals and I am ready to see if I can actually do them. I still need to buy mace or have a tracking device on my phone since it is getting darker in the evenings when I do my runs. I am a little paranoid about that.

4. I never get my big camera out anymore! Really, it is sad. My kids are so cute and I do take pictures but it is 98% of the time on my phone. Lola's baby book might be filled with iPhone pics. Don't judge!
Here are a few recent pics from the phone.
Seriously, can she be any cuter?! I don't think so!
 Game Day ready!
She is a big girl now who can sit up on her own.

5. So ready for fall! Cooler temps, jeans, soups, Halloween, oh I can not wait! Plus, I am so ready to see what direction Grey's Anatomy goes after that finale!

Happy Grandparents' Day!

Happy Grandparents' Day!
Lincoln and Lola are blessed to have two sets of grandparents who spoil love them unconditionally.

Lincoln tells me multiple times a week that he wants to go to Nena and Grandaddy's house and that is often used as a bribe for him.

I am thankful that Shane's parents make the long drive down to see their grandbabies so we are not having to travel all the time.

Nena, Grandaddy, Gigi and Pappy-
You are loved by these two kiddos very much! Thanks for all you do!
